Goal: Phase 9.4 Second-Cycle Adaptation

Task family: ABG-P9.4 Started: 2026-08-14 Baseline: 73834ab Active plan: docs/runtime/p9_4/IMPLEMENTATION_PLAN.md Contract: docs/runtime/PHASE9_4_SECOND_CYCLE_ADAPTATION_CONTRACT.md Legal terminal: Aetherbound Guild P9.4 second-cycle adaptation candidate ready or Aetherbound Guild P9.4 redesign required:

Owner Decision

The Owner accepts the P9.3 landscape world, actor scale and direct interaction direction and asks development to continue. P9.4 must extend that game-world grammar instead of restoring menus, mission cards or formation pages.

After reviewing the P9.4 direction, the Owner again asked development to continue. This accepts the landscape composition and second-cycle direction; it does not yet claim uncoached comprehension of the exact Wayrunner/Kindhand counterfactuals, broader fun, listening, device behavior or release quality.

Objective

Prove one strategically different second cycle:

return from Open Road with Hearthguard + Farstring and 20 Coin
-> see the incoming Crosswind contact+ranged threat in the Hall
-> choose Wayrunner for faster risk or Kindhand for slower recovery
-> hire directly into a 3/10 line
-> fight Crosswind automatically
-> see the selected role act and the distinct survivor/time consequence
-> collect the reward once and return with the three-person Company

Player Proof

  • The next threat is visible before the second recruit decision.
  • Wayrunner and Kindhand remain standing in-world choices, not cards.
  • Both paths win, but neither is a cosmetic label: current fixed-tick authority yields Wayrunner victory at tick 99 with Hearthguard at 22 HP, versus Kindhand victory at tick 133 with Hearthguard at 84 HP and 11 healing actions.
  • The hired member, Coin spend, role action, reward and returned 3/10 Company each commit exactly once.
  • The player can explain speed/risk versus recovery without reading a paragraph.

Frozen

  • New professions, enemies, equipment, chapters, currencies and bulk media.
  • Battle formulas, P9.3 first-loop values and accepted H5 composition.
  • Save/offline, casualty/replacement, long-run economy and monetization.
  • Audio generation, device packaging, TestFlight, stores and release.
  • Other games and portfolio-control files.

Completion

  • Product source: b93715a.
  • Five-profile test/evidence source: 66c2759.
  • Source-bound pacing evidence: /private/tmp/abg-p94-66c2759-five-profile-r1/.
  • Normal, active, efficient, adversarial and returning traces report 35 explicit state/decision timestamps and a longest no-decision interval of 13.30s.
  • Both counterfactuals retain exact 99/133 ticks, 22/84 Hearthguard HP, 0/11 heals and 22/21 Coin; invalid mutations and next-choice starvation are both zero.
  • Exact legal terminal: Aetherbound Guild P9.4 second-cycle adaptation candidate ready.
