Character Bible
Contract: exactly 30 named recruitable characters (
CHR-001..CHR-030). Chapter, faction, and region references resolve throughCAMPAIGN_AND_CHAPTERS.md; profession references resolve throughPROFESSION_AND_SKILL_MATRIX.md.
Roster Principles
- A character talent modifies a decision, target, timing, or resource. It never exists as biography-only flavor or a flat permanent stat bonus.
- Affinity reduces the field-proof requirement for the named advanced profession; it does not bypass its chapter or base-mastery prerequisite.
- Recruitment conditions are legible before route commitment. Missing an optional condition delays the recruit to the chapter finale; no recruit is permanently missable.
- Portraits are unique half-body illustrations. Battle sprites use shared profession action skeletons plus authored identity poses, body proportions, hair/garment layers, and the listed signature action.
- Voice is bounded to non-cloned casting: combat barks, exertions, short hub reactions, and relationship scenes. Critical rules always appear in text and icons.
