## Roster Principles
- A character talent modifies a decision, target, timing, or resource. It never exists as biography-only flavor or a flat permanent stat bonus.
- Affinity reduces the field-proof requirement for the named advanced profession; it does not bypass its chapter or base-mastery prerequisite.
- Recruitment conditions are legible before route commitment. Missing an optional condition delays the recruit to the chapter finale; no recruit is permanently missable.
- Portraits are unique half-body illustrations. Battle sprites use shared profession action skeletons plus authored identity poses, body proportions, hair/garment layers, and the listed signature action.
- Voice is bounded to non-cloned casting: combat barks, exertions, short hub reactions, and relationship scenes. Critical rules always appear in text and icons.

| ID / identity | Motivation, gameplay thesis, affinities, signature mechanic | Relationships, recruitment, arc | Portrait / sprite / voice / localization needs |
|---|---|---|---|
| `CHR-001` Mara Venn, 34, she/her, acting steward of `FAC-01` | Wants the guild to remain answerable to settlements rather than permits. Thesis: a durable Front leader makes mixed roles safer. Base affinities `PR-B01`,`PR-B12`; advanced `PR-A23`,`PR-A01`. Talent **Open Roster**: the first three different allied role tags each encounter give Mara 8 Guard; a duplicate grants nothing. | Former repair partner of `CHR-002`; protective older cousin to `CHR-004`; distrusts `CHR-029`. Recruitment: automatic at `CH-01` opening. Arc: stops treating every failure as hers to absorb and writes delegation into the guild charter. | **P:** weathered square face, dark curls shaved at left temple, repaired yellow coat, bell-key badge. **S:** broad stance, one-handed shield check, private shoulder-unclench idle. **V:** low practical alto, 28 combat/hub lines plus 3 scenes; no shouted tutorials. **L:** surname is not “vain”; Chinese name transliterates sound, title “代理会长” remains distinct from owner/chief. |
| `CHR-002` Oren Pell, 41, he/him, relay mechanic | Wants to repair the Waylamp whose safety check he waived under deadline. Thesis: device play becomes mobile rather than stationary. Base `PR-B08`,`PR-B11`; advanced `PR-A15`,`PR-A16`. Talent **Carry the Spark**: once per 8 seconds, moving bands drags his oldest device with him and shortens its duration by 2 seconds. | Estranged friend of `CHR-001`; craft rival to `CHR-012`; becomes mentor to `CHR-020`. Recruitment: automatic after Waylamp recovery in `CH-01` segment 1. Arc: replaces secret guilt with a public maintenance record and accepts peer review. | **P:** long face, silver-flecked beard braid, copper goggles kept above eyes, patched coil vest. **S:** stooped walk, careful two-hand deploy, anxious tool-count idle. **V:** warm baritone with clipped self-corrections; 24 lines/4 scenes. **L:** preserve technical false starts; localize puns as repair metaphors, not literal wire jokes. |
| `CHR-003` Ilyo Fen, 27, they/them, basin clinician | Wants stable power for patients whose registrations lapse during seasonal work. Thesis: triage can be proactive through forecasted damage. Base `PR-B04`,`PR-B03`; advanced `PR-A07`,`PR-A08`. Talent **Triage Slate**: at encounter start, the ally with lowest maximum vitality is tagged; first heal on that ally also pauses one debuff for 2 seconds. | Trusted by `CHR-001`; teases `CHR-004`; later shares unregistered-care methods with `CHR-025`. Recruit by powering the clinic in `CH-01` segment 3, or after boss if towers chosen. Arc: learns to distribute care instead of staying indispensable. | **P:** compact build, freckled brown skin, mint scarf, slate earrings, visible hand brace. **S:** brace-respecting grip, slate tap, seated recovery idle. **V:** clear mid register, calm without softness stereotype; 26 lines/3 scenes. **L:** singular they must remain explicit in English; Simplified Chinese avoids forced gender pronouns and preserves name `伊廖`. |
| `CHR-004` Tamsin Roe, 19, she/her, wind courier | Wants the warning towers restored so no farm learns of danger last. Thesis: information is worth damage when it changes target selection. Base `PR-B06`,`PR-B02`; advanced `PR-A11`,`PR-A04`. Talent **Second Route**: first time a Marked target becomes invalid, her queued attack retargets the next threat at full rather than 70% power. | Younger cousin of `CHR-001`; friendly rivalry with `CHR-010`; admires `CHR-021` until seeing the cost of stunt heroics. Recruit by clearing the high ridge in `CH-01` segment 4, or at finale. Arc: shifts from fastest solo messenger to builder of redundant routes. | **P:** triangular wind hood, copper-brown skin, cropped curls, tower ribbons tied at wrists. **S:** forward lean, map-flip aim, impatient heel bounce. **V:** bright fast mezzo, speed without slurred accessibility; 25 lines/3 scenes. **L:** “Roe” is a family name, not deer wordplay; route terms use the campaign glossary consistently. |
| `CHR-005` Suri Tal, 38, she/her, Reedbound ferry organizer | Wants communal filters protected from privatized toll routes. Thesis: moving an ally should heal planning errors without erasing them. Base `PR-B10`,`PR-B05`; advanced `PR-A19`,`PR-A20`. Talent **Room in the Boat**: first ally she pulls each encounter leaves a 3-second safe lane that cleanses Drift for the next follower. | Union ally of `CHR-006`; ideological opponent then friend to `CHR-008`; recognizes `CHR-027` from old maintenance runs. Recruit after defending both ferry crews in `CH-02` segment 2. Talent **Full Quotation**: after Measured Rest, the next allied secondary clause cannot be Hushed and resolves at 90% if its base action misses. | Longtime collaborator of `CHR-005`; cautious teacher to `CHR-007`; clashes with archive purist `CHR-013`. Recruit by recovering three testimony caches in `CH-02` segment 3. Arc: stops guarding recordings as property and establishes speaker-controlled access. | **P:** round older face, moss-gray locs, layered waterproof vest, one cracked handbell. **S:** seated listening pose, bell held close rather than aloft. **V:** textured tenor, restrained sung intervals recorded as optional layers; 22 lines/5 scenes. **L:** do not translate every line as rhyme; accessibility transcript labels stored voice source and tense. |

Talent **Foreign Refrain**: first Echo sourced from a different role each encounter resolves at 55% instead of 40%; same-role Echo does not qualify. | Student of `CHR-006`; later bonds with `CHR-028` over manipulated sound; resents `CHR-008` confiscating instruments. Recruit by solving the optional echo-lock in `CH-02` segment 5. Arc: accepts uncertainty about the sibling and uses the recovered cadence to expose the Choir, not simulate a person. | **P:** narrow face, olive skin, shaved brows with painted frequency dots, oversized listening collar. **S:** head-tilt scan, fork-to-ground sampling, sudden delighted note idle. **V:** light and androgynous, precise consonants; 27 lines/4 scenes. **L:** English neopronouns are mandatory in bio/dialogue; Chinese uses name or omitted pronoun naturally; never translate Echo as a literal duplicate person. |

Arc: provides evidence and repair labor without receiving instant absolution. | **P:** severe oval face, medium-brown skin, cropped white-dyed hair, Choir gray cut open to show colored lining. **S:** tuning fork lowered in surrender, four-signal cast, sound-avoidant hand idle. **V:** controlled mezzo with occasional cracked restraint; 27 lines/7 scenes. **L:** “Choir” terminology never implies real faith; confession and culpability distinctions must remain precise. |

| `CHR-029` Garan Tey, 56, he/him, Civic Relay director | Wants the capital to survive and finally admits his secret command channels made every region less safe. Thesis: command gains legitimacy by exposing and rotating its target logic. Base `PR-B12`,`PR-B06`; advanced `PR-A23`,`PR-A12`. Talent **Public Channel**: first Order each phase broadcasts target and reason; if three different roles accept it, refund the Order, otherwise reveal the rejecting rule. | Former supervisor of `CHR-008` and `CHR-023`; secret-channel adversary of `CHR-024`; seeks but does not demand `CHR-001`'s trust. Recruit only after he opens all approach records in `CH-08` segment 4. Arc: resigns authority, testifies publicly, and serves under rotating field command in postgame. | **P:** lined pale face, cropped gray hair, formal blue mantle visibly unfastened after recruitment. **S:** seal break, pennant pass, hands-behind-back idle changing to open stance. **V:** formal high baritone, measured loss of certainty; 24 lines/7 scenes. **L:** avoid redemption-by-resignation shorthand; administrative ranks consistent with `FAC-02` glossary. |

| `CHR-030` Piri Ansel, 72, they/them, last living Concordance founder | Wants the guild to repair the First Silence without pretending the founders' fear was wisdom. Thesis: cadence support can hold incompatible buffs without merging their identities. Base `PR-B07`,`PR-B03`; advanced `PR-A24`,`PR-A13`. Talent **Founder's Revision**: once per encounter, when two exclusive buffs collide, preserve both for 3 seconds; afterward each returns with half remaining duration. | Old colleague of `CHR-027`; hid evidence from `CHR-013`; sees `CHR-001` as a steward, not successor. Recruited for the final approach after all seven regional consequence rooms; playable in `EN-B008` and postgame. Arc: publicly voids the founders' secrecy clause and refuses a ceremonial leadership role. | **P:** slight elderly frame, warm-brown skin, clouded left eye, plain founder ring worn on cord, many regional mends. **S:** careful staff cadence, ring removal key pose, breathing rest idle. **V:** older androgynous voice, firm rather than mystical; 26 lines/8 scenes. **L:** English they/them explicit; Chinese avoids honorific inflation, and “founder” is institutional history, not chosen-one status. |
